Lateefah Simon (born January 29, 1977) is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California’s 12th congressional district since 2025. Born in San Francisco, California, she earned a B.A. from Mills College and an M.P.A. from the University of San Francisco. A Democrat, Simon was a non-profit executive and president of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) board of directors (2016–2024) before her election to the U.S. House in 2024. She began her term in the 119th Congress.
