Derek Tran

Derek Tran (born December 22, 1980) is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for California’s 45th congressional district since 2025. Born in Los Angeles County, California, he earned a B.S. from Bentley University and a J.D. from Glendale University. A Democrat, Tran served in the U.S. Army, worked as a lawyer, and was a business owner before his election to the U.S. House in 2024. He began his term in the 119th Congress.
